Matt Bridge
Superyacht Sail Coordinator
Matt started his professional sailing career as bosun on a 132' square rigged brigantine in Hong Kong at the tender age of 18. After this apprenticeship he progressed to more modern yachts, gradually working his way up to Captain with a MCA Class IV qualification. Matt sailed countless offshore miles on a variety of sailing vessels up to 34 metres before moving ashore, joining a rival sailmaking company and then moving on to join Doyle NZ as a superyacht specialist.
Matt's experience at sea gives him the background knowledge to talk with boat builders, spar makers, designers and systems engineers allowing him to make a useful contribution to any superyacht project.
Matt still regularly travels the globe supporting customers at the various superyacht regattas through the year, and when time allows he likes to race locally.
