We're very excited to welcome Toby Scoones to the Doyle Sails New Zealand team. Toby comes onboard as service manager, working from our Auckland HQ and will be on hand to help out with any of your service needs.
Toby has been sailmaking for over twenty years; seven of those with Doyle Sails New Zealand. Prior to taking on the role of service manager Toby was our head of downwind production and enjoyed a slew of highlights in the role, including projects like Team Korea, Hugo Boss, Team Sanya, Bella Mente and Rio, alongside many other race programmes and superyachts.
Long before Toby got to those big boys of racing though, he'd earned his stripes sailing competitively in Auckland's dinghy classes. He then graduated from the RNZYS Youth Programme under Harold Bennett and went on to be extensively involved with keel boat racing; logging both local and offshore miles.
Toby has also previously run a charter fleet which has given him a very solid understanding of the sail-handling systems which will best suit cruising-orientated customers. He looks forward to using his experience in producing all types of sails to provide the best results for to you, and is the main point of contact for all service enquiries.
Toby joins the team as Logan Devoy leaves for a new non-marine role. Logan has been an integral part of our team and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
