Doyle Sails NZ returned once again as sponsor of the NZ Millennium Cup, with Doyle-powered entrants including Bliss, Steinlager 2 and Antaeus, and overall winner Silencio with a brand new gennaker. The regatta was held for the first time in the Bay of Islands alongside Bay Week.
Three races over three days saw the regatta winner Silencio take an early lead, with Bliss - which features a full Doyle inventory - giving her a run for money and taking an eventual second place by just one point. In the smaller Pacific Cup division, both Steinlager 2 and Antaeus were carrying Doyle inventories, with the iconic Steinlager taking the win at the close of racing.
It was great to see the superyacht regatta so well received in its new format and location, with racing spiced up by all the on water activity of Bay Week, where Doyle-powered yachts also performed strongly.
