Congratulations to the Howard Spencer's Menace and her crew for winning the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club MC38 Autumn Cup. This is Menace's first, and we are sure not the last, victory in this growing class. The crew were joined by ETNZ's tactician Ray Davies who was delighted by the win: "“We just had a great weekend of racing in Pittwater Australia with the relatively new M38 fleet, we had six boats all campaigning at a very high level with five different winners in 7 races. They have a very light/powerful hull with a huge amount of sail area so it was no problem racing in the very light conditions. We managed to win by a slim margin and I'm looking forward to the next event in Sydney, I'm also very encouraged to see the fleet growing with new boats coming online for the regattas in Auckland in October
The Menace team regularly compete in both New Zealand and Australia. Next up for the class is Sydney Harbour in June followed by Audi Hamilton Island Race Week.
