The Doyle team is passionate about spending time on the water... and that's not just limited to yachts. One of our team members, Kent McNish, is a keen kitesurfer and over the years has organised numerous fundraising events, raising over $10,000 for New Zealand's Starship Hospital for kids. Previous fundraisers include kitesurfing the 83km from Auckland to Great Barrier Island!
Now Kent has organised another Big Air fundraising event, Kitesurf For Kids, to be held at Muriwai Beach 4x4 entrance with dates provisionally set for the weekend of 5/6 November (wind/weather dependent) - please check in on the event Facebook page for updates.
The event is open to all skill levels, with three divisions to choose from: Open Mens, Womens and Novice, with all the proceeds from the entry fee of $20 going to Starship. There are plenty of prizes up for grabs including a brand new 10m Ozone Enduro kite, Xensr 3d Sports visualiser, 5 nights twin share accommodation all inclusive at Kitesurf Tonga and more.
The team have already raised more than $4000 for the hospital. To make a donation, follow the link here:
