Receptionist/Office Manager

Doyle Sails New Zealand Ltd is looking for a Receptionist/Office Administrator. As the first point of contact at the loft, ideally you will have a good base knowledge of sailing and be active in the local sailing community. One of the world's leading sailmakers, Doyle Sails New Zealand makes cutting-edge sails for yachts of all sizes, from dinghies all the way up to superyachts, and provides an outstanding working environment.

Position Title: Receptionist/Office Administrator

Direct reports: None

Reports to: Financial Controller (FC)

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive, direct and relay telephone messages
  • Ensure reception is staffed at all times
  • Greet, assist and/or direct visitors
  • Monitor, forward or action info@ e-mails
  • Pick up and deliver the mail/drop off banking envelopes
  • Open and date stamp all general correspondence
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies
  • Prepare Parcels for local courier collection
  • Assistance with data entry as required
  • Being a valued member of the finance team offering a quality service to both internal and external customers
  • Any other Ad-Hoc duties as required

Experienced Sailmakers

Doyle Sails New Zealand is looking for experienced sailmakers to join our team. We require sailmakers with a minimum of two years experience with references.

For the right candidates we are prepared to pay for flights to New Zealand in exchange for a commitment of six months. Note that unless you hold an NZ or Aus passport, working in NZ does require a visa - www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/work/worktemporarily/

Apprentices

Doyle Sails New Zealand is always on the look out for young, energetic, ambitious people to join our team as sailmaking and rigging apprentices. An apprenticeship in sailmaking is an ideal route in to the industry. Sailmaking can lead to incredible opportunities to advance in sailing and yacht racing, whilst opening doors for international travel and offshore opportunities. Doyle Sails New Zealand’s Head of Sales Mike Sanderson, youngest ever winner of the Volvo Ocean Race, began his own yachting career in sailmaking.
