Stratis Purchasing & Technical Development Manager
Coen began sailing as a child in the Netherlands, racing dinghys and beach cats, and still enjoys racing multihulls. He has a background as a marine engineer in general operational techniques and has always had an interest in building machines and equipment. This experience has proven invaluable in the development of the complex Stratis technology here at Doyle Sails.
Coen has managed the busy Stratis department for many years and modified and upgraded the equipment to the advanced set up that runs out of the Stratis plant today. He designed and built the Stratis ICE machines that process the ICE fibre, making it possible to use this special fibre in sail construction. His day to day role includes ordering all the surface products and fibres for the Stratis plant as well as doing maintenance and repairs on the sailmaking equipment at the loft.
